Miss Morrigan Gets the Guillotine…

So Here’s the story….

I go into my friend requests on FetLife & there is a friend request from Miss Morrigan.

Though the girl looks familiar, I do not believe I have ever met her nor heard of her. Her foto is to the right, click it for a larger image.

I go to check out her profile & pics before I add her & I notice she is in Chicago & she is a new Mistress/switch working at the Continuum Pro Dungeon.. The same Dungeon which I have been working for several years.

I go into her pictures & I see a picture of mine. It is a picture which I took myself of my friend John modeling in my bondage, in my house. The foto was taken 2007 as promotion for a performance we were doing in NYC for an event called the HUSTLABALL NYC 07.

Posting below the foto, she is claiming the photo is of her bondage, & eluding that she can do better, stating: “Some of my more basic Shibari work”.

She obviously soled the foto from somewhere, but where? It is obvious from the cropping of the photo that her copy was a screen grab. It was an unedited version of the foto & I do not recall posting this version anywhere. Se obviously did not realize it was my foto or she would have not sent me a friend request, sporting that foto, nor did she bother to go through all my fotos, is she would have she would have noticed the edited version of this same foto which was previously posted many months back.

Not only is this girl a thief attempting to deceive the community… she is a very unintelligent one… Yes of course it is unintelligent in the first place to steal someone elses work & claim it is your own. If you’re going to go this far, wouldn’t you first make SURE that the persons are NOT local to you or tied to you in any way or have any possibility of crossing paths with you? This scene is so small… no matter what, if someone does this, they run the risk of being exposed… would you not at least try yo minimize this risk?

Well, I decided the best thing to do for the community was to publicly expose her as a fraud, showing her the negative results of her actions & also showing others the negative results of trying to deceive others, letting people in the community be aware of this dishonest person & marginalizing her in the community so that she has less ability to cause damage in the lifestyle community.

So the first thing I do is post a response to the foto.. get a screen-grab of it, then post the information in several places & send the info to a couple local folks I feel should know, including the owners of the Dungeon she (& I) work at.

Then at the BNC Party, I talk to Cleo & Richard, the owners of the Continuum Dungeon which we are both working at. They were both upset about her actions & Cleo tells me she is going to have a talk with her.

During this time others were writing her, urging her to be honest & apologize.

After she sees my comment, instead of deciding to come clean, she deletes her claim that it is a photo of her bondage & continues to lie by changing her story… Good thing I got a screen-grab of her original post! Here is her response…

So from this point, of course I contact John (the one in the foto) to check up on her new story.

John replies with the following:

“I know exactly who that is. Her name is Nora and she grabbed that picture off of a Vampire Freaks page that I used to have. I met her on that site and hung out with her a few times; she was looking for a “friends with benefits” situation that I just wasn’t feeling. She got angry at me because of my sarcastic attitude and the fact that I wouldn’t sleep with her. I definitely did NOT give her permission nor did I tell her that that picture was done at Shibaricon. I don’t even have that picture on my computer anymore. I will definitely go on there, post a picture of myself and and make it very apparent that I want nothing to do with her or her thieving bullshit.”

So then John joins FetLife & posts a response to the picture…

Before I get a chance to look at his response, she has deleted her profile completely.

Tuesday comes, I hear back from Cleo of the Continuum:

“Well, I talked to her about the issue, but it was pointless. She is basically refusing to accept responsibility and admit that she fucked up. She just kept trying to twist things around and manipulate the facts, so she’s gone. I just asked Grace to take her off the site. Sorry you had to deal with this.”

Ah yes, but let’s not forget… but people prefer to learn the hard way…

In the TAO it is also said….

“The wise have nothing to do, while the unwise tie themselves in knots.”

The cause & effect of her poor choices have seemingly caught up with her & she is now paying the price of her own actions. As I shared with her  “The karma of a good person is ones own best friend, the karma of a bad person is ones own worst enemy”. I will go further to say in a bigger picture; the karma of bad person is actually ones own best friend as well.. it is like a good friend trying to steer you in a better direction. This is the positive productive nature of reality. This is universal wisdom in action.

Instead of just pointing the finger at her, we should use this as a growing opportunity to reflect on ourselves & the course of our own actions. Not in a way where we blame ourselves or are proud of ourselves (that is ego producing ego) but in a way that is truely helpful & empowering to ourselves & others (that is love producing love).

I do not have any negative feelings toward this girl, she is on her own path to learn & grow just as we all are. I do though sincerely hope that she some day faces herself & realizes the errors of her ways. Chances are this person has been on this path for a long time & she will have to go much further down this road before she is forced by the reality of her actions to finally change her ways.

Until then, I will seize any opportunity to expose her if she tries to remain in the lifestyle or Pro community.

I would like to thank those good people in the community that have instantaneously banned together to confront this situation. Thank you John, Cleo, Richard, mara & others.

Luckily I had substantial proof & was able to back it up.. Other situations are not so lucky… Also I have a lot of power in the community & a reputation for being an honest person out to do the right thing which helps a lot in these situations. With this power comes a great responsibility for me to do my best to use it in a way that can help others & for the greater-good of the community. Let us all learn form this as an example of how NOT to be, how we each reap what we sow & how we can also come together to let deceptive people know this behavior is not appropriate in our kink community.

I am not suggesting a witch hunt, we can just face each situation as it arises with a helpful attitude. We each have to choose our battles wisely & this one just happened to fall in my lap, so I took it. Hopefully now, this situation has worked it’s self out & I can move on to other things : )
