John Willie
John Alexander Scott Coutts (December 9, 1902 – August 5, 1962), better known as John Willie, was a pioneering fetish photographer, illustrator, and bondage artist.
]Life and work
Coutts was born in Singapore and grew up in England; contrary to some claims, he was not related to the Coutts banking family.[1]
In 1921 he entered Sandhurst and in 1923 was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Scots. He was forced to resign his commission in 1925 after marrying a nightclub hostess, Eveline Fisher, without the permission of his regiment, whereupon he moved to Australia; the marriage ended in divorce in 1930.[2]
In the mid-1930s, he began working for a Sydney-based fetish club as an illustrator and photographer; around this time he began a relationship with Holly Faram, one of his models, and they married in 1942.[3] He was an early enthusiast for the writings of Jorge Luis Borges, and invited the Argentinian to Australia in 1938, to give a short series of lectures in Melbourne, sponsored by Bohemia magazine.[4]
Around 1945-47 Coutts moved to New York City via Montreal, in order to publish his bondage and fetish magazine Bizarre; Holly chose to remain in Australia where she died in 1983 at the age of 70. When he moved to America Coutts adopted the name ‘John Willie’.
Bizarre was published, somewhat irregularly, from 1946 to 1959 (compare with ENEG‘s work in Exotique magazine, published 1956 – 1959). The magazine included many photographs, often of his wife, and drawings of costume designs, some based on ideas from readers. There were also many letters from readers; he was accused of inventing these, but insisted that they were genuine. The letters covered interests such as high heels, bondage, amputee fetishism, sadomasochism, transvestism, corsets and body modification.
As a bondage artist, he is best known for his character Sweet Gwendoline, which he drew in a clear, anatomically correct style that influenced later artists such as ENEG and Eric Stanton. Other characters include U69 (censored to U89 in some editions) as the raven-haired dominatrix who ties up Gwendoline and Sir Dystic d’Arcy, the only prominent male character and probably a parody of Willie himself.[5]
The comic strip was published by Irving Klaw, who forced Stanton to paint clothes over the whip marks on the originals of “The Missing Princess”.
After publishing 20 issues of Bizarre he moved to Hollywood, California. He developed a brain tumor in 1961 and was forced to stop his mail order business. He destroyed his archives and returned to England where he died in his sleep.
He was portrayed by Jared Harris in the 2006 movie The Notorious Bettie Page, which featured a (fictional) meeting between Willie and Page.

As part of my weekly eyecandy submission (haha- i said submission) i wanted to post a few pictures of Araki … His work inspired me long before i met Dvnt and his images are awesome and ultra sexy !

A Brief Bio ~
Nobuyoshi Araki (荒木 経惟 Araki Nobuyoshi?, born May 25, 1940) is a Japanese photographer and contemporary artist. He is also known by the nickname Arākī (アラーキー?).
Araki was born in Tokyo, studied photography during his college years and then went to work at the advertising agency Dentsu, where he met his future wife, the essayist Yōko Araki (荒木陽子 Araki Yōko?). After they were married, Araki published a book of pictures of his wife taken during their honeymoon titled Sentimental Journey. She later died in 1990. Pictures taken during her last days were published in a book titled Winter Journey.
Having published over 350 books (and still more every year) Araki is considered one of the most prolific artists alive or dead in Japan and around the world. Many of his photographs are erotic; some have been called pornographic. Some of his most popular photography books are Sentimental Journey, Tokyo Lucky Hole, and Shino. He also contributed photography to the Sunrise anime series Brain Powerd.
In 1981, Araki directed High School Girl Fake Diary (女高生偽日記 Jokōsei nise nikki?), a Roman Porno film for Nikkatsu studio.[1] The film proved to be a disappointment both to Araki’s fans, and to fans of the pink film genre.[2]
The eccentric Icelandic avant-garde musician Björk is an admirer of Araki’s work, and served as one of his models. At her request he photographed the cover and inner sleeve pages of her 1997 remix album, Telegram. More recently, he has photographed pop singer Lady Gaga. Araki’s life and work were the subject of Travis Klose‘s 2005 documentary film Arakimentari.
His works are held in numerous museum collections including the Tate[3] and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.[4]
After he was diagnosed with cancer, the main theme of his work changed to portraying the ability to give life (for example photos of naked woman with their newborn children) and he said he began to take photographs of flowers, which shall be presented at his funeral instead of real flowers.

6-9-10 marks mara & I’s 4 Year anniversary*
I prefer to look at it as 1460 days..
Each day a page in the book of life..
Each sentence, a moment in time,
Each word, cohesion of consciousness,
Each letter, the presence of Now,
& it has been a wonderful Chapter!
The Master/slave path is a challenging road to walk down
It takes a deep commitment & is not for the weak hearted…
We have been through many ups & downs, left & rights, twists & turns
but we remain always true to O/our Union.
& it has been a fruitful journey that I wouldn’t change for anything!
Since I’m an artist, one way I show my appreciation & honor for something is by making some art to reflect how I feel..
It allows me to express visions of a deeper nature than I can express in ordinary language.
So I did this art in honor of our 1460 days together & counting!
I now express bows to the life journey & to those who have found love in there lives,
also to those whom have entered this path of Master/slave;
may we take these sacred lessons of higher love & unbreakable bonds
which are taught to us by our relationships
& find the strength to extend this love outward
to share it with the whole World.

Last Sunday Master and i went back to Deluxe tattoo to do the second sitting of my skin illustrations.. i had my chest piece done… Jason did it in record time …. he’s amazing !!!
i had prepared myself for intense physical sensations.. and they were there,, big time,,, but for some reason not as severe as i had imagined … which was great !!
The art work is so stunning and beautiful .. like jason said.. its like jewelry .. and thats how i see it.. skin jewelry ,,, and when it is filled in.. it will be beyond beautiful !! Note the lock on my chest ,,, now thats what i call a permanante collar !!!

Incredible – Exhausting – Enthralling – Amazing !!!
Sunday was the first “sitting” for my skin illustrations…and it was a fantastic experience !!
The day started really nice around the house with cleaning and a rainy run .. then it was off to visit Mr. Jason Vaughn at Deluxe Tattoo… i was not nervous at all until Master says to me “OOH… your going to be in pain.. hahahahahaha” .. it was at that point that the memories of my past work started to creep in my head.. and i got a little scared ! It had been quite a while since i was “under the needle” … but W/we continued on !!!!
So… there i am .. putting on my tube top … and looking at the BEAUTIFUL illustrations that Mr.V had done and i really felt blessed … blessed that my Master was there with me.. supporting me in this .. blessed that Jason was so very talented .. and blessed that it was time to transform .. literally!
My experience of the actual tattooing was very intense .. the pain became very severe toward the end .. he worked about 2.5 hours … by the last 15 minutes i was really feeling the intense physical sensation (thanks Fakir ! ) … but it was really worth it …
Jason got all the outlines done of the back piece of the work .. and shaded in the “cover up” area.. we will be shading in the rest of the illustration next tim.. then onto the chest …
i really wanted to say a special THANKS to my Master… His support and understanding has made this transformation possible … like a pupa transforms to a dragonfly .. so do i .. going from one place to the next .. taking this old skin with me as i go …
